Mount Olympus Refuges
Mount Olympus refuges are the ideal choice for the hiker for overnight and rest. Most have beds, organized kitchen, dining area and heating. In Mount Olympus there are 15 shelters of which 7 are emergency and 8 are mountaineering.
Spilios Agapitos Refuge (Zolotas)
Spilios Agapitos refuge belongs to the Hellenic Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing and is located on the Balcony position at an altitude of 2,035m.
The refuge is open from mid-May until the end of October from 6am to 10pm. It has 120 beds, is equipped with kitchen offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, two dining rooms, two fireplaces and bathrooms.
It is located on the path Prionia – Mouses Plateau and is about 3 hours from Prionia.

Giosos Apostolidis Refuge
Giosos Apostolidis refuge belongs to the SEO Thessaloniki, is located on the Mouses Plateau at an altitude of 2,697m.
The refuge is open continuously from the beginning of June to October, and the rest of the year after consultation with the administration. During the winter, the shelter’s vestibule is always open as an emergency shelter.
It has 66 beds, dining room, living room with fireplace, enclosed balcony and bathrooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen, which is open from 6:30 until 22:00.

Christos Kakkalos Refuge
The refuge is located in Mouses Plateau at an altitude of 2650m. It was named after Christos Kakkalos, who made the first recorded ascent to the top of Olympus on August 2, 1913.
It has 17 beds and operates from the end of May to the end of October. The refuge is managed by the brothers Michalis and Alexandros Styllas.

Petrostrougka Refuge
Petrostrougka refuge is located at an altitude of 1919m in a dense forest of beeches and robolas. You will find it on the path that leads to the Mouses Plateau starting from Gortsia.
It has 68 beds, kitchen, dining room and fireplace. The management of the shelter has been undertaken by the Hellenic Rescue Team. The shelter is open all year round.

Krevatia Refuge
Krevatia refuge is located on the north side of Olympus at an altitude of 1008m.
It has 21 beds, an equipped kitchen and is open all year round from Friday to Sunday.
Access is from Vrontou via a dirt road or via a path from the church of Agia Triada walking for an hour.

Boudolas refuge belongs to EOS Thessaloniki and is located at Stavros at an altitude of 930m. on the road Litochoro – Prionia.
It has 30 beds, equipped kitchen, restaurant and heating. It is open all year round.

Koromilia Refuge
Koromilia refuge is located on the northeast side of Mount Olympus at an altitude of 1020m.
It has an 18-bed guest house, a bathroom, a restaurant-lounge with a fireplace, and an equipped kitchen that offers meals throughout the day.
Access to the refuge is by road from Dion which is about 14km away, or via a path from Saint Konstantinos and the stream of Orlia.

Vrisopoules Refuge
Vrysopoules refuge is located on the south side of Olympus in the area of Vrysopoules at Niki at an altitude of 1800m. The refuge is located inside the Mountain Ski Race Training Center (KEOACH) of the Greek Army.
It has 30 beds, bathroom, canteen, medical care. The overnight stay in the shelter is done in consultation with the Special Forces Administration of the Army General Staff.
