We plan and implement a multitude of hiking tourss on its beautiful, green paths, following the marked and certified European path E4.

Below we suggest three one-day hiking tours in Olympus mt for small and large groups, which can be combined into an enjoyable two or three day in Olympus mt.

Itinerary

The first starts from Prionia 1,100 altitude and ends to Spilios Agapitos refuge 2,100m. It is a 12km route and is the most widely used hiking trail on Mount Olympus. Prionia is the highest point accessible by car. The biggest part of this hike goes through thick forests of pine, beech and fir trees, and is in good condition.

The second tour starts from Gkortia at 1,110m altitude ending at Petrostougga refuge at 1,900m. It is a beatiful trail inside dense forest.

On both tours we can rest at the refuges, eat and drink something and then take our way back to the starting point.

The third tour starts from Prionia and ends at the Cave of Saint Dionysios on Olympus. The route is representative of the beauty of the lower zone of Olympus, as it combines the benefits of a hike next to running water and in the riparian vegetation. It is ideal for beginner hikers, less familiar with the high altitudes and steep slopes of the high mountain and excites with the natural beauty and tranquility of the ravine of Enipeus. At the same time, the historical and architectural value of the old monastery of Saint Dionysios, but also the mystical atmosphere of the cave will satisfy the visitors of other interests.

We start from the parking lot in Prionia, we cross the waters of Enipeas through wooden bridges. We move in dense vegetation with beeches and other deciduous species, which in combination with the presence of running water and the downhill profile of the path, relax and rejuvenate the walker. It is believed that Saint Dionysios practiced in this position. The monastery of Saint Dionysios was founded by Saint Dionysios on Olympus in the middle of the 16th century. After reaching the cave we return to Prionia or continue to Litochoro.
